The Elder Scrolls Online Free Play event
This event is now live and runs until Monday, August 30 at 10AM EDT. During the free-play period, anybody on PC/Mac, Xbox consoles (Xbox Live Gold required), PlayStation consoles, and Stadia (Stadia Pro required) can download and play The Elder Scrolls Online for free!
Simply visit the Free Play page and select your platform.

ESO PC/Mac/Stadia Servers Hotfixed
The Elder Scrolls Online PC servers were taking down suddenly to hotfix a serious exploit. The forum post didn’t mention what the issue was but I did see some reports of some players being unkillable in Cyrodiil.

The World Plays ESO
This is the final week of the World Plays ESO event. Two twitch drops are available this week for watching designated streams for at least 2 hours. You can often get additional drops by watching the special streams hosted by Bethesda, Bethesda_DE, Bethesda_UK, Bethesda_NL, and Bethesda_PL.

ESO First Year Celebration
As I predicted, the ESO First Year Celebration will take place next week starting August 26. Players will be rewarded for completing activities in Wrothgar, Craglorn, and the Imperial City.
SPOILER ALERT
There will be two special reward coffers available.
- Year One Coffers: slaying bosses, looting objects, or completing daily quests
- Glorious Year One Coffers: First Daily quest you compete in any of the zones listed.
Bonus Loot
- Double reward boxes from event zone dailies
- Double drops from standard resource nodes (excluding those harvested from creatures or surveys)
- Bonus drops on all world, dungeon, and delve bosses in the event zones
- Double Tel Var drops in Imperial City
- Bonus drops from White Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison Bosses
- Bonus loot Maelstrom Arena and Dragonstar Arena
- Bonus drops from Craglorn Trial Bosses
Tickets can be earned for the second fragment of the new mount.
Tips:
You have to complete the Wrothgar delve quests for each delve (offered by NPC’s near their entrances) before they will be offered in the Wrothgar dailies.
