Bounty Boards

An adventurer looking for a cure for their boredom or empty coin purse need not look any further than the bounty boards in Anvil and Kvatch on the Gold Coast.

The bounty board of Anvil is located just outside Enricks’s Public House in the northeast district.

The bounty board of Anvil is located at the entrance of the Bank of Kvatch.

Dark Brotherhood

Joining the Dark Brotherhood unlocks two sets of dailies. The first are contracts and the second Sacraments.

Elam Drals, a dry-humored Dark Elf, oversees the Dark Brotherhood’s contract killings for those who exchange simple gold for the promise of disposing of troublesome individuals throughout Tamriel. While you can only have one contract at a time, contracts are repeated without a cooldown timer.

Once assigned a contract, travel to the target’s last know location. There will be a special Dark Brotherhood icon over the target’s head (black hand) which will clearly identify them as you approach.  Use your blade of woe to fullfill the contract. Return to the Enclave and claim your rewards.

Speaker Terenus, the grim Imperial who indoctrinates you into the Dark Brotherhood, remains behind in the Sanctuary to bestow the most important missions that members of the Dark Brotherhood undertake in the name of their vaunted Night Mother.

Sacraments are unlocked by reaching Dark Brotherhood Rank 2 and completing the quest “A Lesson in Silence”. They require the player to kill one or more targets and/or destroy an item or pet.

Sacraments Locations

  1. Sewer Tenement
  2. Smuggler’s Den
  3. Trader’s Cove

- Do secondary objectives first, timer starts when primary objective engaged

- If time runs out, abandon quest. Just do it right in middle of instance and get kicked back to TG/DB hideout. Give it 15 minutes or so and instance will reset. Take quest again and it will likely be easier because you have some experience of area you are sneaking through.

- Carry Poisons because some sacraments offer optional rewards for killing target with poison. (source)
- The items or pet targets are found in the same location every time

Build Suggestions

Tip: Checkout official ESO Stream Team Member @Inklings to see his sneaky build in action and detailed build notes. Build can be run on magicka or stamina character.

Here are a few recommendations for gear to make these quests easier.

If you have the medium armour skill line unlocked and Improved Sneak passive at level 2, equip seven pieces of medium armour for maximum bonus to sneak cost reduction and sneak detection area.

Equipping gear with sneak detection area, resource recovery (stamina / magicka), and sneak movement cost reduction will allow you to maintain your stealth for longer and reduce the distance NPC’s will detect you.

Stealth Sets (Detection / Sneak Cost / Movement):
Darloc Brae's (Elsweyr) - 5 pieces
Night Terror (Stormhaven) - 3 pieces
Night Mother's Embrace (Deshaan)- 5 pieces
Night's Silence (Crafted - 2 Traits) - 5 pieces

Adding the Swift trait to your jewelry will also speed up your movement.

Abilities / Passives

Khajiit’s have the best racial passives for a sneak build: Stamina / Magicka recovery, Maximum Stamina / Magicka / Health, Detection Radius Reduction.

Nightblades are the only class that has abilities that offer stealth and sneak bonuses: Concealed Weapon (Shadow / Slot 1), Shadowy Disguise (Shadow / Slot 2)

Legerdemain (“Light of Hands”) skill line found in the World section of the Skills UI, offers Improved Hiding passive that reduces the cost of sneak up to 40%. (Slot 1)

Vampires have several useful  passives to offer a sneak build. The most notable is Dark Stalker which ignores the Movement Speed penalty while in crouch. (Slot 6)

Mages’ Guild abilities can increase your maximum magicka and magicka recovery if Magicka Controller passive (Slot 4) is unlocked.

Alliance skills also have something to offer. Rapid Maneuver (Assault / Slot 1) offers a speed boost. Equiping Alliance Support skills in conjunction with the Magicka Aid passive will boost your Magicka recovery.
