Access
To access Markarth, use a wayshrine to travel to North Markarth wayshrine, or acquire the main quest by using the DLC tab of your Collections UI and accepting the “The Despot of Markarth” quest from the Zone DLC section.
You will require the Markarth to access these quests.
Tip:
If you are new to Elder Scrolls Online. have a slow horse, and not a member of any guilds, then check out “Getting Around Without Wayshrines” to quickly unlock regions that you have not been to before.
Daily Quests
Markarth
In Markarth, the daily delve, world boss, and harrowstorm quest givers do not need to be unlocked. Your character just needs to be adventure level 6 or higher.
The map below shows the locations of the NPC’s with the daily quests offered in Leyawiin.
DELVES
Located in Markarth a short walk north and west of the wayshrine, Bralthahawn awaits to give you a daily delve quest in a small pavillion with the other daily quest givers. The delves are listed in the order offered by the NPC.
- The Tainted Briarheart: Destroy 3 ritual tools. (Briar Rock Ruins) 1
Notes:
The ritual tools are usually found on tables and benches and glow a creepy red. You can find only one set of tools in three areas of the delve: the ruins, the crypts, and the dead crone tower. Once you find one set of tools in each area, the others in that area disappear.
- What’s Hers is Ours: Gather the Hagraven Totem. (Briar Rock Ruins) 2
Notes:
Escape and evade your way to tower. Climb the tower to the overlook. The totem is next to a brazier on the left of the Hagraven. You do not need to kill the Hagraven.
- Magic Mycology: Gather 3 mushrooms in Gloomreach. (Gloomreach) 3
Notes:
The quest markers for the sample appear in your compass when you are close by. Unfortunately, while there are multiple mushrooms in each of the three zones, the others in the zone disappear when you collect one.
- Strange Contamination: Gather 3 Fungal Mold Samples (Gloomreach) 4
Notes:
The quest markers for the sample appear in your compass when you are close by. Unfortunately, while there are multiple mushrooms in each of the three zones, the others in the zone disappear when you collect one.
- Unhatched Menace: Destroy strange egg. (Gloomreach) 5
Notes:
Escape and evade to the egg location.
- Wild Talismans: Gather 3 Wildblood Warrior Talismans. (Briar Rock Ruins) 6
Notes:
The talisman are found in containers in the Ruins and the Crypts. Quest nodes in an area are linked and the others in the same zone will disappear once one of them are found. The three zones are the ruins, the “upper” crypts, and the “lower” crypts.

WAYWARD GUARDIAN
The Wayward Guardian quests are unlocked when you complete the quest A Feast of Souls (all six of the DLC story quests).
- Alone in the Dark: Rescue 3 missing exiles. (Ghostlight Grotto, south of Arkthzand Wayshrine Arkthzand Cavern)
The camp isn’t very big and the markers to the npc are noted on your compass. - Remnants of the Deep Folk: Collect Dwarven samples at the locations on your map. They are close together. First is in the column structure in front of stairs, second is right of the stairs up, and last one is up the stairs on the right ledge
- The Light of Arkthzand: Gather 3 Arkthzand Gemstones. (Library of Arkthazand)
- Defenders of the Reach: Gather Gray Host Sigils (Nchuand-Zel)
Access through Understone Keep in Markarth. Kill the humanoids. - The Language of the Night: Gather 3 Nighthollow Scrolls and the Tome of Void Runes (Nighthollow Keep)
Use the void balls to traverse obstacles in the Nighthollow Keep. - To Lost Shrine: Climb to the top of the Lost Valley Redoubt and cleanse the Shrine of Lorkh.
- To Burn Away Evil: TBD.

- Guides to the Deep: Destroy the Dwarven construct and destroy 3 dwarven beacons. (Sentinel Point)
- Namira’s Perversions: Disrupt Witch Matron’s ritual and rescue 3 captives. (Four Skull Lookout)
- Discarded Treasures: Destroy Dwarven Construct, Retrieve 3 Dwarven Scraps. Kill any Constructs in the area. (Sentinel Point)
