With the introduction of OneTamriel, ZOS added daily quests for the three factions – Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and the Undaunted. Included were new rewards, and a new way to gain reputation in their ranks.
These quests offer new players a more structured means to explore Tamriel by sending them out to distant Dolmens, Delves, and/or Public Dungeons. Also, they offer alternate advancement in the guild skill lines to unlock guild abilities and passives.
To established players and crafters, they offer a means to farm the Rare Draughr Motifs and style materials.
You can find these quests in the capital cities in each faction’s guildhall or camp.
Faction Capital Cites: Elden Root (Grahtwood), Mournhold (Deshaan), Wayrest (Stormhaven)
Over the past five PTS pledge cycles, I have been tracking the pledges offered by the three pledge givers. Here are my initial findings and speculation
- The pledges don’t appear to random per character. I picked a few characters on different factions and they received the same pledges.
- Appears to rotate pledges between DLC’s and dungeons. eg. IC dungeon 1, SotH dungeon 1, IC dungeon 2, SotH dungeon 2, etc.
- Appears to rotate pledges between version I and II but different dungeons. eg. Dungeon A I, dungeon B II, dungeon C I, etc.
- Appears to be offering dungeons with version I’s first.
If the patterns do repeat, I’ll update my Undaunted Article and ESOTU calendar.
This evening I hopped onto the PTS and tried out the new daily quests for the Fighters’ Guild, Mages’ Guild, and the Undaunted.
As a high level player with all of the zone POI’s (points of interest) visible on the map, they didn’t take long to do and were soloable. Aside from the rare chance of a new crafting motif or style item, I felt the rewards were underwhelming. There were some white consumables and ornate gear that was capped at level 50 or CP150. Overall, I would do for the crafting motifs and the achievements and stop doing them.
