Apothecary Parcels: Contraversial?

Say What?
Overheard in Tamriel

Apothecary Parcels, released as part of patch 2.6.9,  allow an alternative means to obtain alchemical reagents buy spending Tel Var Stones in Imperial City.

One player has posted some statistical data on 30 of the parcels they purchased and results are a surprising. The most common reagents were some of the most sought after reagents: Columbine, Lady Smock, Corn Flower, and Nirnroot. See data here (google docs).

angry-mobBased on the comments at the time this was published, this feature appears to have create a strong love / hate relationship with players. Imperial city is not popular with PVE’ers and they fear a strong hit to the economy. PVP’ers ,who are often large consumers of potions and poisons, appear to welcome the change.

ESOTU Pattern Emerges in Top Tier Provisioning Writs

Say What?
Overheard in Tamriel

One of our fellow crafters has posted an interesting artical on official forums under the title “One Tamriel Max Provisioning Writs Decoded”

What is happening is that every day the RNG randomly assigns either the CP 50 writ or the CP 150 writ, and once that is decided, you receive whichever writ for that level is due up in the rotation for that day. Also, it seems that the the rotations are linked to each other on a daily basis. I have not been able to discern a pattern outside of this and it does appear whether you get a CP 50 or CP 150 writ is completely random.
