The following is a summary of the crafting and housing related changes included in this #ESOTU patch for the PC and Mac.

NOTE: Currently, on the Public Test Server (PTS). Information here is from the patch notes published on their forums.

OVERVIEW

The Elder Scrolls Online v3.0.3 continues to address issues in Morrowind involving quests and itemization, plus some adjustments to Battlegrounds and the Halls of Fabrication. We’ve also continued to make some tweaks to the overall class balance, and have several fixes for the Grouping Tool. The size of this patch is approximately 1.3GB.

Highlights

  • Added multiple books and notes to Eidetic Memory.
  • Reduced statistics on Morrowind sets
  • Adjusted the drop rates for furnishing plans from Hlaalu Master Furnisher’s Documents and Hlaalu Journeyman Furnisher’s Documents to ensure each plan shows up roughly as often.

Morrowind

Crafting and Economy

General

  • Corrected several minor camera issues with crafting stations in Vvardenfell.

Furniture Crafting

  • Fixed an issue where the names of the “Hlaalu Lantern, Stationary” and “Hlaalu Lantern, Portable” were swapped.

Exploration & Itemization

General

  • Added multiple books and notes to Eidetic Memory.
  • Adjusted the title for “Battleground Elite Merchants” to “Elite Gear Vendors”, to match their compatriots in Cyrodiil.
  • Added a new book, Lady Cinnabar of Taneth’s “Who Are the Wardens?” to bookshelves across Vvardenfell. Wardens who read this tome will find its words will improve their knowledge of the Animal Companions, Green Balance, and Winter’s Embrace skill lines.

Item Sets

  • Defiler: Reduced the damage the Hunger deals to 6000 from 9999.
  • Knight Slayer: This item set now deals 9% of an enemy player’s maximum health as Oblivion Damage, reduced from 10%.
  • Vanguard’s Challenge: The effect is now lost if the wearer enters sneak, invisibility, or moves further than 28 meters away from the taunted enemy player character.
  • Warrior-Poet: This item set now has an additional 5-piece bonus of Max Health.
  • War Maiden: This item set now has a 2-piece bonus of Spell Critical instead of Max Health.

Housing

Furnishings

  • Fixed an issue where the visual effects for the “Dwarven Crystal Mechanism” furnishing would disappear unexpectedly.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Tree, Rooted Ashland” furnishing had a lower sell price than intended.
  • Added size information to the quest reward Housing item, “Sir Sock’s Ball of Yarn”.
  • Fixed an issue with the appearance of the “Dwarven Table, Refined” furnishing.
  • Added icons to a number of Dwarven furnishings.

Housing Editor

  • Moved “Rock, Volcanic Chunk” and “Rock, Volcanic Slab” to the Boulders and Large Rocks category from the Stones and Pebbles category.

Homes

  • Fixed the leaky roof on the Amaya Lake Lodge; it will no longer rain in your home.
  • Replaced some of the Redoran items in the Amaya Lake Lodge with Hlaalu furnishings. However, not every item in the Hlaalu home is of Hlaalu origin – the great House Hlaalu still enjoys getting a good deal on furnishings from the other Houses.
  • The Ald Velothi Harbor House now has an appropriate preview picture in the Collections menu.
  • Corrected several minor visual issues in Vvardenfell homes.

Fixes and Improvements

Master Writs

  • Adjusted the drop rates for furnishing plans from Hlaalu Master Furnisher’s Documents and Hlaalu Journeyman Furnisher’s Documents to ensure each plan shows up roughly as often.
    • For example, Redguard plans will be easier to find, while Wood Elf plans will repeat themselves less often.

Housing

Furnishings

  • The “Redguard Cask, Sealed” furnishing now has appropriate collision on all sides.
  • Added textures to the bottom of the “Boulder, Craggy Heap” furnishing.
  • The “Argonian Drum, Ceremonial” furnishing can now be selected normally in the Housing Editor.
  • Fixed an issue that caused held items to fly around you when you used a Mundus Stone furnishing.
  • Adjusted the center point of the “Wood Elf Handfast Statue” so it’s easier to pick up and move around.
    • If you’ve already placed this in your home, it will be in a slightly different position and you may need to pick it up and reposition it.

Homes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause you to be knocked through parts of certain homes.
