The ESO Anniversary occurs in early April and it is an event you do not want to miss.  In addition to bonus experience,  any daily that is not immediately repeatable will offer a bonus anniversary gift box.

The Elder Scrolls Online turns five! Join us in celebration of this amazing milestone by taking part in our in-game event and enjoying XP buffs, unique rewards, and cake!

ESO Anniversary Event

The anniversary event begins on April 4th 10AM EDT.

To join the event, visit the famous Chef Donolon in Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall, or Davon's Watch and complete his Anniversary quest “Ache for Cake." You can get directions to Chef Donolon's location by obtaining a Jubilee Cake Voucher free of charge from the in-game Crown Store.

Anniversary Jubilee

The Anniversary Jubilee is coming back, bigger and better than ever, in celebration of ESO’s upcoming fifth anniversary (Holy Aedra, has it been that long already?).

  • Chef Donolon will return, ready to bake a brand-new cake for you. This cake is extra-special, however – not only does it grant the usual +100% EXP bonus, it is sweetroll-flavored and will grant you 2 Event Tickets the first time you eat from it each day while the fifth anniversary event is active!
  • To celebrate this incredible milestone, this year’s Anniversary Jubilee will last five weeks. Each week will celebrate a different facet of the game and a different member of the Five Companions, the group of heroes who joined up with you to stop Molag Bal’s machinations.
    • During each week of the event, a different Companion’s unique equipment will be available as Outfit Styles, both from the Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes obtained during that week, and on sale from the Impresario.
  • Only the daily quest types listed below will grant an Anniversary Jubilee Gift Box during their given week.
  • In addition to the highlighted Companion’s Outfit Styles for that week, Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes’ contents have been adjusted.
    • The Jubilee Gift boxes this year can provide one of over 40 Crafting Motifs (or their Style Items).

    • Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes also now contain a chance at Jewelry Crafting materials, both raw and refined – including a very small chance at Chromium Plating.
    • Mother of Pearl and Clam Gall have been added to the potential Alchemy reagents found in Anniversary Jubilee Gift Boxes.
    • To make room for these additions, the rate of obtaining previous Furnishing Materials and Motifs were slightly lowered.
  • Finally, the Shimmering Indrik Pet will be available for purchase from the Impresario during the event for 10 Event Tickets.
    • This will be available only during the final week of the Anniversary Jubilee.

Obtain the Anniversary Quest

  1. Open the crown store and obtain your free Jubilee Cake Voucher.
  2. Use the scroll to obtain the quest “Ache for Cake“.
    Find Chef Donolon on his barge in one of the follow locations:

    1. Davon’s Watch, Stonefalls
    2.  Vulkhel Guard, Auridon
    3. Daggerfall, Glenumbra
  3. Gather Chef’s ingredients
    1. Gather Bananas (1)
    2. Gather Flour (3)
    3. Gather Honey (2)
  4. Give Chef ingredients and wait for cake
Tip: The items you need are in containers (Banana box, Flour Sacks, and Honey Barrels) near the chef or on his boat. The items can be looted without bounty.

How to Get to the Chef

There are a few options on how to get to the Chef. The chef will be marked with the special event marker (a box with a star) on your map.

  1. The starter town wayshrines are unlocked to all players, use a wayshrine and travel to one of the towns listed: Davon’s Watch (Stonefalls), Daggerfall (Glenumbra), or Vulkhel Guard (Auridon)
  2. If you have completed the initial Aldmeri Dominion Homestead quest, you can recall to your house (Mara’s Kiss Public House) in Vulkhel Guard.
  3. If you have completed the initial Daggerfall Covenant Homestead quest, you can recall your house (Rosy Lion Inn)  in Daggerfall.
  4. Use the Navigator system that is made up of Caravans (Cart Icon) or Ferries (Anchor Icon) located in the main city of each zone to get you to one of the zones listed above

Double Experience

When you start the event, you will need to complete the chef’s quest, Ache for Cake, get a special cake momento.

Note: Use the momento to make cake appear and use cake to turn on the experience bonus.

Tip: Full Training Set + Mythic Ambrosia + Event Boost = 300% Exp gain from kills.

These reward boxes contain crafting materials (ore, ingredients, runes, etc.) and a single rare crafting item (Nirncrux, style items, motif pages, etc.) Note: Gift Boxes cannot be earned by completing infinitely repeatable quests.

Rarer rewards include hard-to-get motif pages previously only available in Vvardenfell, the Horns of the Reach dungeons, and the Clockwork City. Even rarer, you could receive a motif page for the brand-new Worm Cult style, a look that can only be found in the Anniversary Gift Boxes!

Momento

Event furniture can be obtained two ways: From event loot boxes and the special event achievement furniture vendor.

Note: Any anniversary cake momento will give you double experience during the anniversary event, however, only the most recent one will give you Event Tickets.

Heralda Garscroft (Events)

Located in each of the Capital cities (Elden Root, Mournhold, and Wayrest) there is an achievement vendor that sells Event-based items.
