It was on an early adventure when I discovered my first crafters’ retreat area in Stonefalls. Truly gifted crafters are not content to squirrel themselves away in a dreary noisey city trade hall making baubles for passersby’s. Away from the towns and their distractions, crafters will find their inspiration to make greatness.
Equipment Crafters can unlock special crafted sets by learning the required number of traits (eg. Reinforced, Sharpened, etc.) of the various sets and locate the special crafting station in Tamriel or Coldharbour. The number of traits required for a set is ranges from 2 to 9. Traits are learned by researching items and It can take over month to research 9 traits depending on the investment made in the researching passive of the crafting profession of the item. Some special gear sets require the completion of quest lines (Fighters’ Guild, Mages’ Guild, Faction lines) and other level requirements (Veteran Rank — Craglorn).

When discussing the topic of Alchemy, the old phrase “what does not kill you, makes you stronger” comes to mind. After downing a dreadfully tasting potion and feeling it burn your innards on the way down, a powerful effect is required to make it worth it.
This tome reveals the mysteries of alchemy. Alchemy can save money by crafting your own and bypassing the middleman, potions can last longer by unlocking the “Medicinal Use” passive. Ability slots can be freed up by replacing ability effects with potion equivalents. Completionist can unlock more achievement points by completing the alchemy achievement points. Selling potions can be profitable. The solvent determines the level of the potion and reagents can be found all over Tamriel and Obilivion. The intial trait can be determined by using the raw reagent but making potions with other reagents will identify those with compatible traits. Finally, a list of popular beginner recipes is also provided.
When you explore the wilds of Tamriel long enough, the “taste boredom” of the repetitive small game on a spit will set in. The adventurer’s palate will long for a diet with more variety and flavour.
There are two types of provisioning products: Food and Drink. Food increases the players resource pools (Total Health, Magicka, and/or Stamina) and drinks increase the player’s regeneration of resource pools (Health, Magicka, and/or Stamina Regeneration). There are seven possible combinations: Health, Magicka, Stamina, Health and Magicka, Health and Stamina, Magicka and Stamina, and all three.
Single resource products are green. Two resource items are blue. Three resource items are purple. There is a special yellow product (Experience potion) which is created by very rare item obtained by fishing.
