This tome is a follow up to my popular tome ESO Crafting Sets. This compendium provides novice crafters the locations of the crafting retreats in the Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, Ebonheart Pact, Coldharbour, and Craglorn.
When discussing the topic of Alchemy, the old phrase “what does not kill you, makes you stronger” comes to mind. After downing a dreadfully tasting potion and feeling it burn your innards on the way down, a powerful effect is required to make it worth it.
Summary
Unlock the power of plants and mushrooms.
This tome reveals the mysteries of alchemy. Alchemy can save money by crafting your own and bypassing the middleman, potions can last longer by unlocking the “Medicinal Use” passive. Ability slots can be freed up by replacing ability effects with potion equivalents. Completionist can unlock more achievement points by completing the alchemy achievement points. Selling potions can be profitable. The solvent determines the level of the potion and reagents can be found all over Tamriel and Obilivion. The intial trait can be determined by using the raw reagent but making potions with other reagents will identify those with compatible traits. Finally, a list of popular beginner recipes is also provided.
This list is to help wannabe master crafters without access to add-ons track down their missing recipes. In order to obtain the Master Crafter title, you will need to obtain the Recipe Compendium achievement: Learn 100 provisioning recipes.
A gourmand will eat anything in front of them, while an educated gourmet prefers sophisticated recipes made from the freshest ingredients.
Summary
Merchants, Trading Guilds, and Adventurers often have what you need (for a price).
Provisioning food and drink are one of the main ways to improve your resource pools over a longer period of time. If the local guild trader doesn’t have the basic ingredients you are looking for, there are several grocers scattered around Tamriel ready to serve you.
The price of the goods are 150g each. The few “bargain” merchants that sold for 10g each have had their prices increased to 150g.
Note: If you are looking for ingredients for the Anniversary event quest, all the ingredients you need are in containers near the chef and can be looted safely without a bounty.
After some considerable effort, my hirelings and I explored much of the Ebonheart Pact regions looking for fishing holes. This compendium is the first edition the covers most of the Ebonheart pact. The maps are a bit crude as it is my first attempt at producing maps.
Summary
Find the perfect fishing holes off the beaten path and away from the competition.
The following maps were created using data collected using Voltan’s Fisherman, HarvestMap, and Destinations. Objectives and Wayshines were included on the maps to make it easier locate the holes on your in game map.
This first edition covers most of the Ebonheart Pact.

Often crafters follow in their parents footsteps and take over the family business. As a result some rarely live their hometown and the familiarity of the crafting stations. With the new crafting writs, crafters can take orders from the local notice board and deliver it a distant town. Some end up taking up residence in the new town.
Summary
The saavy crafter knows the writs in distant lands can be a lucrative business.
Often the journal system doesn’t properly identify the turn in location if it is not at the crafters location. This brief tome describes the popular writ destinations of Tamriel. At the moment, it seems that consumables offer the best rewards consistently at all levels. Equipment writs seem to consume nearly a stack of resources and at lower levels, the rewards can mock the crafter with low value items like a quartz stone. Note: I am currently collecting data to assess the changes made with patch 4.1.5.
Writs do not only provide inspiration to level provisioning but also the chance to earn recipes and ingredients.
In my twenty years as supply captain for the Seventh Imperial, I learned one absolute truth: provisioning is the same whether feeding yourself or an entire army. — Basic Provisioning Guide by Cloelius Maluginensis.
After reading the Guide to Fishing Tamriel, I found the content lacking sufficient details to satisfy my scholarly curiosity. I wanted more details and it set out to answer my many unanswered questions.
Summary
The fish do you no good in the water.
This guide covers fishing in a very comprehensive and organized manner. Fishing results in special achievements (including one of the rarest titles in the game), crafting raw material (including the legendary ingredient for crafting experience potions), and rare sellable fish. The legendary ingredient, Perfect Roe, is currently fetching a high price and harvesting it is a lucrative activity. There are four types of water fish can be found and particular bait must be used at the right location to obtain the best results. Fishing parties looking for rare fish should limit their group to 4 or 5 people. The table below lists the water types and their respective baits. Several tools have been created to make fishing a lot easier.
